Chapter 1: Introduction to your account settings
Chapter 1: Introduction to your account settings
Before you start scheduling, we recommend you establish your preferred account settings. To access your account settings, click on the dropdown menu with your initials on the top left of the screen and select ‘Account Settings’.
From your profile settings, you can make changes to your:
Name
Profile photo
Language
Default time zone
Your profile photo and name settings
Your default profile identifier is your initials. Your name setting will influence your default profile initials. You can replace your initials with a profile photo.
Your language settings
Doodle natively supports the following languages: English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish.
Your default time zone settings
Your default time zone is automatically matched to your computer and browser settings. We recommend confirming your default time zone prior to scheduling with Doodle.
When you create a Doodle event, it will be matched to your default time zone. When you send a Doodle invitation to someone in a different time zone from you, Doodle will automatically convert the invitation to their time zone based on the difference between their browser settings and your default time zone.

We highly recommend connecting your calendar to your Doodle account, though it is not required to use Doodle. With you calendar connected to Doodle, you can:
Automatically send calendar invites to participants
Automatically sync events to your calendar
Take advantage of video conferencing integrations

Your privacy matters

How to connect your calendar from the Doodle dashboard
Click 'Connect your calendar' on the dashboard tile
Click the 'Connect' button under the calendar you wish to connect to your Doodle account

You can create a Doodle event from the new Doodle dashboard by clicking on the meeting tiles. Simply pick the Doodle that best suits the type of event you are organizing.
About My Doodles
My Doodles are defined as invitations that have links you can share. This includes:
The events you have created and are not yet booked
Your booking page(s)
Group polls in which you have participated and for which the organizer has not yet selected a final date
About Upcoming Events
Upcoming Events are defined as events you have scheduled using Doodle. This includes:
The events you created and booked
Events you booked with other Doodle users

Group Poll is Doodle’s first and most popular scheduling feature, and we are happy to welcome you to the scheduling solution trusted by millions of people every year.
Creating your group poll
Creating your group poll is easy and only takes a couple of minutes! There are three main steps:
Enter the basic event details, like the name of the event and location
Propose dates and times for the event
Share the poll to find the best time to bring everyone together
Enter the event details
Let your audience know about the event by providing a name for the event, a brief description of the event, and the location. You can even meet virtually using Google Meet or Zoom!
Propose times to meet
First, choose how long you want the event to be, then click into the calendar grid to set the times you will propose to your audience. You can even integrate your calendar to show when you are busy and when you are free. Connecting your calendar will always be totally free. Click 'Create and share' when you are done.
Share the poll
With your poll created, you are now ready to share the link. Click the ‘Copy link’ button and paste the poll link into an email or share it via text, WhatsApp, and more!
Your audience participates in the group poll
The people you invite to participate in your poll will click on the link you provide and vote for the dates and times that work best for them. Responding to a group poll only takes a few seconds, so you will quickly learn the best time to bring everyone together.

Finalize your group poll and book your event
Once you receive enough votes to know the best time to bring everyone together, simply choose your preferred date and time and click the ‘Book it’ button.
That’s it!
Once you click ‘Book it’, your group poll participants will automatically receive an email with all the event information. And if you connected your calendar, they will also receive a calendar invite they can use to quickly add everything to their own calendar!

Creating your sign-up sheet
Creating your sign-up sheet is easy and only takes a couple of minutes! There are three main steps:
Enter the basic sign-up sheet details, like the name of the event and location
Provide dates and times for each session
Share the sign-up sheet to begin collecting enrollment
Enter the event details
Let your audience know about the event by providing a name for the event, a brief description of the event, and the location. You can even meet virtually using Google Meet or Zoom!
Create your sessions
Indicate the session details, like the date, start time and enrollment cap, repeating the process for each session you want to offer. Apply any special settings you might need, such as limiting how many sessions they can choose. Click 'Create and share' when you are done.
Share the sign-up sheet
With your sign-up sheet created, you are now ready to share the link. Click the ‘Copy link’ button and paste the sign-up sheet link into an email or share it via text, WhatsApp, and more!

The people you invite to participate in your sign-up sheet will click on the link you provide and sign up for the session(s) that work best for them. Responding to a sign-up sheet only takes a few seconds, so you will quickly see your sign-up sheet fill up!

Keep track of your sign-up sheet enrollment
You can quickly and easily track your sign-up sheet enrollment by each available session directly from your Doodle dashboard. Click into a session to manage it.
That’s it!
Each person who signs up for a session will automatically receive an email with all the information they need to show up on time and prepared. And if you connect your calendar, we will send a calendar event invite that they can add to their own calendar.

Creating your 1:1 is easy and only takes a minute! There are four main steps:

Each person who signs up for a 1:1 will automatically receive an email with all the information they need to show up on time and prepared. And if you connect your calendar, we will include a calendar event invite that they can add to their own calendar.

1:1 leaves you in full control of your calendar. Only the time slots that you offer will be presented to your 1:1 participants.
If you connect your calendar to your Doodle account, your calendar will be instantly updated with all event details once a time slot is booked.
When someone selects a proposed time, it is removed from the option array - ensuring you will not be double-booked.

Booking Page works by scanning your connected calendar for the available time slots that match the rules you set. In this section, you define how long the meeting will be, how far in advance your calendar will be scanned for available time slots, which days of the week you are available, and the timeframe your calendar will be scanned on individual days of the week.

Need crucial information prior to the start of your meeting? Ask custom questions and get the information you need the moment your meeting is booked so that you can arrive prepared and ready to start!
Share the booking page
With your booking page created, you are now ready to share the link. Click the ‘Copy link’ button and share the booking page link with your audience. Some popular choices for booking page link placement are:
