When you enable automatic reminders, more people will respond to your meeting invitation, securing your most important 1:1 meetings faster than ever before.
Additionally, automatic reminders save you time. Instead of chasing people down, you can focus on the work that matters most and Doodle takes care of the rest.
How to use automatic reminders
First, click the 'Send automatic reminders' check box at the bottom of the group poll creation screen:
Automatic reminders only work when you send your 1:1 invitation using the 'Email invitation' feature. By associating your invitation with a specific set of emails within the Doodle app, we will know who has already replied and who needs a reminder.
To email your invite with Doodle:
Click on 'More'
Select 'Email invitation'
Add the emails
Review the editable email message
Click 'Send'
When are automatic reminders sent?
Reminders are triggered based on your invitation inputs and whether or not you applied a deadline. These are the rules for polls without a deadline:
48 hours before the deadline of your invitation if the deadline is set more than 5 days in the future from the invitation creation date
36 hours before the first option of your invitation if the first option is set between 2 and 5 days in the future from the invitation creation date
Never, if the first option of your invitation is set less than 2 days in the future from the poll creation date
A very similar logic applies if you have also set a deadline for your invitation:
48 hours before the deadline of your invitation if the deadline is set more than 5 days in the future from the invitation creation date
36 hours before the deadline of your invitation if the deadline is set between 2 and 5 days in the future from the invitation creation date
Never, if the deadline of your invitation is set less than 2 days in the future from the invitation creation date
