You have probably been in a situation where you had to arrange meetings with people in different time zones. How do you make sure everyone is looking at the same times according to their time zone? Don't worry! Doodle automatically sets the correct time zone for each of your participants.

Check out the short video below, or keep reading for more information:

Setting your default time zone

Before scheduling with Doodle, confirm your default time zone for your Doodle profile.

  1. Log in to your Doodle account

  2. Click on the drop-down menu and select 'Account Settings'

  3. Click 'Profile' from the Overview screen of your Account Settings

  4. Scroll down the page to the 'Default time zone' menu

  5. Confirm your time zone is accurate or make any necessary adjustments

Matching your default time zone to your browser’s time zone setting will ensure that any Doodle event you create or participate in will indicate the correct time zone.

As an event organizer:

Make sure to set the time zone to YOUR time zone when you set up a group poll, 1:1, or your booking page. The time zone will be selected automatically according to your Doodle account settings OR your browser settings.

You can also select a different time zone for a specific group poll, 1:1, or booking page. To do this, click on the time zone selector and set a different time zone. This is helpful if you will:

  • be in a different time zone for a specific meeting - perfect for professional who travel a lot

  • schedule meetings on someone else’s behalf and they are in a different time zone from you

If you want to change the time zone after you have created the poll, edit your poll and select a new time zone.

Note: if you want to review how your proposed times will appear in different time zones, we recommend you use Doodle’s Preview feature, located on your event summary screen.

As a participant:

You will see the time zone above the proposed meeting dates and times. Regardless of the organizer's time zone, you should see YOUR time zone.

The time zone will be selected automatically according to your Doodle account settings, OR your browser settings. If you see the wrong time zone when you try to participate in a group poll, 1:1, or booking page, check your Doodle account settings or your browser settings.
