Event organizers must share the Doodle event link with their participants. How you can share your group poll depends on whether you use Free Doodle or Doodle Professional.

Invite participants via link sharing:

All Doodle users can invite people to participate in their group poll by sharing the link to their poll.

  1. Open your group poll from your dashboard

  2. Click 'Copy link'

  3. Paste the poll link into an email, or share it via Slack, WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams and many other applications.

Share via email invitation (requires a Doodle Pro plan):

In addition to sharing the poll link, Doodle Professional users can invite people to participate in their group poll by using Doodle's built-in email feature.

  1. From the Group Poll Summary screen, click 'Show poll details'

  2. Click on 'More'

  3. Click on 'Email invitation'

  4. Enter the emails of your participants

  5. Edit the invitation message if needed

  6. Click 'Send'

Please note: When you email the invitation via Doodle, the sender will always show as 'Doodle' in the invite recipient's inbox. Make sure your invitees know to interact with these emails to respond to your group poll

Voting on someone's behalf in your group poll

The ‘Add participant’ feature makes it easy for group poll organizers to vote on someone’s behalf. Please note that the 'Add participant' feature is limited to Doodle Professional users.

Important: Use the ‘Add participant’ feature only when you need to complete the poll on someone’s behalf. Click here to learn more.

Otherwise, use the link sharing or email invitation methods described in this article to invite participants to your poll.
