Welcome to our Group Poll troubleshooting FAQ! This list represents the top ten most-frequently asked questions presented to our AI assistant about Group Poll, consolidated for you in one spot.

What do I do after I have copied the Share Invite link?

Clicking the 'Copy link' button copies the Doodle participation link to your clipboard. You can share it by pasting it into an email, text message, or messaging app.

To paste:

  • Windows: Press Ctrl+V

  • Mac: Press Command+V

  • Mobile: Tap and hold in a text field, then select Paste.

Learn everything there is to know about sharing your group poll link here.

Are non-responsive guests notified when a time is booked?

If someone invited to a Group Poll does not submit their availability, they will not be notified when the final time is chosen. This is because Doodle cannot track recipients of invitations sent via your email.

After selecting the final time, please send a calendar invitation to any non-responsive guests as needed.

Can I change the number of participants to select a time slot?

The ability to set participant limits for time slots in a group poll is available only with a paid Doodle Professional Plan and must be enabled during the poll's initial setup. It cannot be changed after the poll is created.

However, please note that you can set a registration limit for each session with Sign-up Sheet.

Why I can't select more than 20 time slots for my group poll?

Currently the free version of Doodle limits an organizer to 20 time slots when creating a Group Poll. In order to offer more than 20 time slots, an upgrade to a Professional subscription is required.

Why can't I see all the responses to my group poll?

This usually happens when a participant did not complete the 2-step voting process. When someone votes in your poll, you’ll receive a confirmation email from Doodle.

Please check if you received emails confirming responses from the missing participants. If not, ask them to try again and ensure they confirm their submission.

How can I delete one invitee from my list of group poll invitees?

You cannot un-invite someone from a group poll, but Doodle Professional users can delete a participant’s response. To use this feature, ensure you’re logged into your Pro account when creating the poll.

To delete a response:

  1. From the Doodle Dashboard, click the tile for the poll containing the participant you wish to delete

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the three dots next to the participant’s name

  3. Select ‘Delete’

  4. Confirm the selection by clicking the ‘Delete’ button

Why is the group poll participation link going to my dashboard?

If you're logged into your Doodle account and click the participation link for an event you created, you'll be redirected to your Doodle dashboard.

If you are organizing a meeting and wish to view the page as a participant:

  1. Click ‘Preview’ on the organizer’s page, or

  2. Open the participation link in an incognito or private browser window.

Can I create multiple meetings from the same group poll?

Yes! With Sign-up Sheet, you can schedule multiple overlapping sessions. If your calendar is connected, these sessions will be added automatically. Be careful not to overbook yourself.

For Group Poll, 1:1, or Booking Page events, once a time is booked, it’s added to your calendar. Doodle will recognize the event and prevent scheduling conflicts. However, you can have multiple polls, 1:1s. and booking pages open at the same time.

Can I create recurring meetings with Group Poll?

Doodle doesn’t currently support creating recurring meetings directly. However, you can connect your calendar to Doodle and set the meeting frequency in the calendar invite.

For example, after finding the best time with a Group Poll (e.g., the first Thursday of the month), adjust the meeting recurrence in your calendar, starting with the earliest date.

Alternatively, try Sign-up Sheet. It lets you offer multiple sessions with set participant limits, allowing attendees to select all dates they can join.

Can I pick multiple final options with Group Poll?

Group Poll alone cannot be used to select multiple meeting dates. However, you can use Sign-up Sheet to create events with multiple dates.

If you already know the dates and times, simply create a sign-up sheet with those sessions and share the link with participants. You can set limits on the number of attendees per session and restrict how many sessions each person can sign up for.

If you're unsure about the dates and need feedback, use Group Poll to gather preferences. Once you've identified the best dates and times, create a sign-up sheet with those sessions and share it with your audience.
