Updated over a week ago

Watch the video below to see how to set up a meeting with Doodle's booking page like a pro. You can also keep reading for detailed step-by-step instructions.

With a free Doodle account, you can create one single booking page. With a Doodle Professional subscription, you can create as many booking pages as you would like.

Step-by-step instructions:

Choose meeting type

  1. From your dashboard, click 'Create' in the top right corner

  2. Select 'Create' if you use the new dashboard. Select 'Create booking page' if you use the classic dashboard.

Note: if you have not already done so, you will be prompted to connect your calendar to Doodle. To use booking pages you need to connect a Google or Microsoft Office 365 calendar in your Doodle account settings. This allows your booking page to reflect your availability and sync your bookings directly to your calendar.

  1. Give your booking page and the event a name

  2. Add a description to your booking page

  3. Add a location to your booking page

  4. Toggle on a video conferencing tool if your event will take place remotely. If you would like to change your preferred video conferencing tool, you can do so in your account settings

Note: the title of your booking page is the default end of your booking page link. You can edit the end of your booking page link. The grey text portion of the booking page link is not editable.

Event duration and availability

Start by determining some basics about your event and when you would like to offer time slots to your booking page participants:

  1. Select the duration of the events that your participants can book

  2. Determine how far in advance participants can book

  3. Toggle on/off the days on which you would like to offer your availability

  4. Click on the little pen to edit, add or remove a time frame / interval

Note: To offer availability Saturdays and Sundays, click on the toggle next to Saturday or Sunday til they turn green. Click on the little pen to edit the time frame / interval.

Add some power settings

Personalize your booking page even further by activating some power settings.

  1. Click on “Add some power settings” underneath the timetable and select,

  • Booking intervals: Set the booking intervals for the bookable time slots. For example, if you have set the duration of booked events to 1 hour, and you have set a booking interval to 15 minutes, your bookable time slots could look something like this: 10:00-11:00, 10:15-11:15, 10:30-11:30, and so on. Click here to learn more about booking intervals.

  • Buffer times between bookings: You do not like to have back-to-back meetings? Set a buffer time to make sure that you have a desired buffer between each booked meeting. The booking page will update the bookable time slots every time a meeting is booked to ensure that the buffer time is reflected. Click here to learn more about buffer times.

  • Minimum advance notice: Set a minimum advance notice if you do not want participants to book with you last minute.

  • Maximum bookings per day: Even though your calendar may be free, it does not necessarily mean you would like to be booked all day. Set a maximum number of bookings per day to control how many meetings can be booked with you per day. When the limit has been reached, your booking page will remove the remaining bookable time slots for that day.

Note: All the power settings only apply to this particular booking page. Make sure to add the power settings for every booking page you create.

Connected Calendars

Under this tab, you can check your connected calendars.

  1. Click 'Add calendar' to select the calendars you want to be reviewed for available time slots. No one will be able to see the content of your connected calendars. We just block the times when you are busy.

  2. Make sure the calendars you want to add are already connected in your account settings, or that you subscribe to them from your primary calendar. Click here to learn more about how to use your calendar subscriptions.

Note: You must have at least one calendar selected to check for conflicts. It is not possible to create a booking page with no calendars connected. Check your account settings if you would like to change your primary calendar.

Add reminders for participants

Tick the 'Enable booking reminders' box if you want us to remind your participants of the event they booked. We will send out the reminder 24 hours before the booked event.

Note: an automatic reminder will not be sent for meetings booked within 24 hours of the meeting.

Custom invite fields

We will make sure to always ask for the name and emails of your participants. If there is any other information that you’d like to gather, you can add a custom field or question here.

The answer to the custom questions will appear in the calendar invitation once the event has been booked.

  1. Click on 'Add' to create a custom field or question.

  2. Tick the box 'Required' if you want the answers to be mandatory.

Finish the booking page
