Have you been invited to a Doodle booking page and would like to know how to participate? We will show you how!
Note: you do not need to have a Doodle account to participate, but you will have to enter your name and email after booking so that the organizer of the booking page knows who you are.
How to participate in a booking page
Check the event information
In the participation view, you will see all the event information on the left side of the screen - here you can see who created the booking page (who wants to meet with you), where it will take place, and an event description.
You will also see your time zone. The booking page automatically adjusts to the time zone set in your Doodle account settings or the time zone of your browser. Make sure to check your Doodle account settings or your browser settings if you are not seeing the correct time zone.
Check the times
Click on the days highlighted in blue to see the available time slots on the right side.
Click on a time slot to select the slot. You can only select one slot.
Enter your name and email.
Click 'Book it' to finalize the booking.
The event is booked!
Once you have booked the event, you will be taken to the confirmation page to get an overview of your booking. From here, you can choose to add it to your Google, Outlook or Apple calendar.
If you have participated from your Doodle account and you have a calendar connected in your account settings, the event will be automatically booked in your calendar and you do not need to add it manually.
Both you and the organizer will receive a calendar invitation and a confirmation email.
Are you not seeing any bookable time slots on the booking page?
If you are trying to book a time to meet with someone using their booking page link and cannot find a time to meet, it is likely because of one of these two reasons:
1. The meeting organizer's booking page settings are too strict
2. The meeting organizer's calendar that is connected to the booking page already has events scheduled to the timeframe that the booking page scans for availability
If you are trying to book a time to meet using someone’s booking page link and cannot find an available time, we recommend letting the owner of the booking page know that there are no available time slots so that they can either review their booking page settings or connected calendar for possible solutions.
Booking page works by scanning the meeting organizer’s calendar for available time slots based on the rules they set. If the rules are too strict, it is possible that there are no time slots that meet the criteria the booking page owner has set.
Alternatively, it is possible that the booking page organizer has other meetings scheduled during the times that the booking page scans the calendar for availability. Since Booking Page is designed to prevent double bookings, participants may have difficulty finding an available time slot for someone with a very busy calendar.
