Occasionally, the connection between Doodle and a connected calendar is broken. In most cases, this occurs when the authorization token for your calendar has expired. To resolve this issue, the owner of the calendar account must reauthorize the application when refresh tokens expire.

You have a variety of ways in which you can reconnect your calendar.

From your email

You will always be sent a notification email the moment your calendar becomes disconnected. The email is titled 'Your calendar is no longer connected' and will contain a button that will take you directly to your account settings.

  1. Open the notification email

  2. Click 'Reconnect calendar'

  3. Select the calendar type you wish to reconnect

  4. Follow the calendar connection prompts

From your Doodle dashboard

If you created an event with a connected calendar and your calendar has become disconnected, you can reconnect your calendar directly from the dashboard.

  1. Click ‘Connect calendar’ on an event tile

  2. Select the calendar type you wish to reconnect

  3. Follow the calendar connection prompts

From your Doodle Account Settings

If you do not have an event tile on your dashboard with the ‘Connect calendar’ button, follow these steps:

  1. Click your profile menu in the upper right corner

  2. Select ‘Account Settings’

  3. Click ‘Connected calendars’

  4. Select the calendar type you wish to reconnect

  5. Follow the calendar connection prompts

More about tokens

A token allows internet users to access applications, services, websites, and application programming interfaces (APIs) without having to enter their login credentials each time they visit. The connection between your Doodle account and your calendar account is an API. Doodle uses ‘programmatic refresh tokens’ and consequently must be periodically refreshed.
