How to manage your booking pages

Best practices for managing and sharing your Booking Pages

Every booking page you create can be managed directly from your Doodle dashboard. In this article, we will cover some processes and best practices for managing your booking pages, including:

  • Editing booking pages

  • Disabling/re-enabling booking pages

  • Deleting booking pages

  • Tips for how to share your booking pages

To access the edit, disable/re-enable, duplicate, and delete functions:

  1. Click on the three dots associated with the booking page you wish to manage

  2. Select the preferred option from the menu

Editing an existing Booking Page

You can edit any parameter of an existing booking page, such as event duration, power settings, custom invite fields and more.

To edit an existing booking page:

  1. From your dashboard, click on the three dots associated with the booking page you wish to edit

  2. Select 'Edit' to load your booking page

  3. From your booking page's edit screen, apply any changes you wish to make to your booking page

  4. Click 'Save'

Once you click 'Save', you will be brought to your booking page summary screen. We recommend you use the 'Preview' function to review your edits to ensure your booking page is working as you would like.

Note: any pre-existing meetings scheduled with your booking page will not be adjusted to match your new settings.

Disabling/re-enabling an existing booking page

Disabling your booking page is helpful for managing work flows and protecting your calendar. For example, it might be to your advantage to disable a booking page when you:

  • will be on holiday

  • need to focus on existing projects

To disable a booking page:

  1. From your dashboard, click on the three dots associated with the booking page you wish to disable

  2. Select 'Disable link' to disallow further bookings from the booking page link

Your booking page will be shaded grey once it is disabled.

To re-enable a disabled booking page:

  1. From your dashboard, click on the three dots associated with the booking page you wish to re-enable

  2. Select 'Re-enable link' to resume booking events with the booking page link

Note: when a participant clicks on a disabled Booking Page link, they will see the following:

To disable or delete? That is the question.

Disabling and re-enabling booking pages has purpose beyond basic maintenance. For example, allowing temporary access to a specific booking page works well for:

  • seasonal work processes for hiring managers

  • consultants who keep close control over meeting with new clients

  • teachers who wish to put a hiatus on meetings during their holiday

However, sometimes it is necessary to delete an existing booking page completely.

To delete a booking page:

  1. Click on the three dots

  2. Select 'Delete'

  3. Confirm or cancel your selection from the pop up window

Note: any meetings that were scheduled prior to deleting the booking page will remain on your calendar

Best practices for sharing your Booking Pages

Now that you have created and tuned up your booking pages, all that is left to do is share them with your audience!

When you create your booking page, you are provided a unique link that connects your audience to your calendar. Here are three ideas for how to get your link to the right people, plus one very important reminder:

Email

Hyperlink your booking page(s) to your email signature.

  • Tip: provide two links, each with different meeting durations!

Slack

Add your booking page link to your landing page, contact page - anywhere!

One last thing...

Don't forget to update any hyperlinked booking page URLs if you edit the title of your Booking Page or otherwise modify the URL of your booking page.
