Daylight Savings rules for 2025

The adoption of Daylight Savings Time (DST) varies internationally, with different nations starting and ending DST on different dates each year. In fact, most nations do not observe DST at all. Because of this, scheduling meetings - particularly recurring meetings between international teams - can be a challenge. But do not fear! Doodle is here to help.

With Doodle, all meetings are adjusted to match your timezone, so even if a meeting takes place between teams that observe different DST rules, Doodle will adjust the timezone to accurately reflect the correct start time.

Regarding recurring meetings

Doodle itself does not schedule recurring meetings. However, Doodle users can make a meeting recurring within their calendar application, like Google Calendar, Outlook, and iCloud (Apple) Calendar. Once the event is on your calendar, your calendar application will apply the DST adjustments based on the location of the meeting participants. If you are meeting with international teammates or clients, this may mean that some of the recurring meetings will occur at unusual times should the DST rules vary between nations. You will want to be vigilant about noting this in advance of your recurring meetings. If you are unsure whether your meetings will be affected by DST, please refer to the table below (sorted alphabetically by DST nations).

Please note:

If a nation is not listed in the table below, it means that it does not participate in Daylight Savings Time

Best practices for meeting organizers

Doodle recommends the following tips for meeting organizers to ensure that all your meetings - including the ones that occur during Daylight Savings Time - go as planned with everyone arriving on-time and prepared:

  1. Connect your calendar to your Doodle account

  2. Set a reminder in your calendar to let your participants know about any unusual start times in advance of the DST changeover

  3. Invite your clients and colleagues to join Doodle
